Sketching is much more than a scribble on a piece of paper. It is a powerful process that helps in discovering the best ideas and boosts creativity of one’s mind. But being an Architect it’s like advantage to be able to jot down your thoughts on paper and get it into reality. Sketching and architecture go hand and hand. For me It is the first step in the design process and something everyone should do. You have to think, thinking can begin with nothing more than a simple sketch that later is developed into something more.
Architectural sketches are all about communicating ideas, whether it is solving initial design problems or working through ideas and details. It helps to convey ideas, demonstrate functionality, visualize user flow, and illustrate anything that requires interaction. It assists in discovering issues and solutions early on. Not only has that, sketching pushed to extract numerous ideas out quickly before you enter into the digital world. It also explores and explains design concepts and will always be a beneficial tool for architects to use.
